Manniversary

Sweet sweater.
Yesterday was Shelby and my 8th wedding anniversary.  Instead of doing something romantic we decided to play it cool and go to Hood River to have a look at the skatepark out there.  It's a short hour drive so on the way Shelby caught a combat nap to ensure total shreddery.  I've started a collection of cell phone camera photos of Shelby sleeping in the car which is a fairly common occurrence.

Slappy Hour.
Homeward bound.
The park is an interesting blend of d.i.y. obstacles and standard issue skatepark fare.  It is the kind of place that you could go to everyday and skate something totally creative and different.  You would have to be a total turd not to find something fun to skate there.  It is safe to say we enjoyed ourselves.

The drive home through the picturesque Columbia River Gorge at sunset was pretty epic and a great end to our fun little session.  We aptly finished the day with dinner, a movie, and then dessert.  Considering we had no plan for the day when we woke up it worked out quite perfectly.
